BIPV Modules You Can Never Take Down: Rethinking EL Inspection for Building-Integrated PV

ⓘ This article is currently published in Chinese. An English version is being prepared — read the Chinese original.

Building-integrated PV (BIPV) modules are not bolted onto a rack—they become the facade, the roof, the skylight. Once installed they cannot be sent back for a darkroom EL test the way a ground-mount module can. That single irreversibility reshapes the whole EL strategy: where cracks come from on a building site, why daytime EL and drone imaging fit vertical curtain walls better than night-time EL, how the special construction of BIPV glass-glass and colored/semi-transparent modules changes what a 'normal' EL texture looks like, and why the post-installation EL pass matters more here than anywhere else. The takeaway: BIPV needs a building-scale, non-removable EL baseline, not a copy of power-plant habits.
